Tubbs Barn was built early 1800’s and is situated in the centre of Bicester. It was originally used as a brewery, but in latter days was used as a storage facility for a local bank. The building was converted into 2 One Bed Units and 2 Two Bedroom Units. The conversion works were extensive, and have included new structural floor slab, demolition of internal load bearing walls and installation of structural steel supports, new upper timber floors and stairs throughout the building, new openings into stonework, entire roof removed and replaced, new mains services extended from main road 70 metres away. Full fit out of the units inclusive of M&E systems, and external finishing to the parking areas either side of the property. The site has very limited access and therefore the planning and co ordination to all elements of the project has been critical to its success. |
